CERRAHİ BİRİMLERDE ÇALIŞAN HEMŞİRELERİN TÜKENMİŞLİK VE YENİLİKÇİLİK DÜZEYLERİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract:

Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı cerrahi birimlerde çalışan hemşirelerin tükenmişlik ve yenilikçilik düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı tipteki bu araştırma, cerrahi birimlerde çalışan 242 hemşire ile online olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırma verileri Tanıtıcı Özellikler Formu, Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği ve Bireysel Yenilikçilik Ölçeği kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Verilerin istatistiksel analizi tanımlayıcı istatistikler, Mann-Whitney U testi, Kruskal-Wallis testi, Bonferroni düzeltmeli Mann-Whitney U testi ve Spearman korelasyon testi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hemşirelerin yaş ortalaması 31,16±7,53 yıl ve %92,6’sı kadındır. Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği duygusal tükenme alt boyut puan ortalaması 29,16±7,18, duyarsızlaşma alt boyut puan ortalaması 11,45±3,97 ve kişisel başarı alt boyut puan ortalaması ise 8,78±6,94’tür. Bireysel Yenilikçilik Ölçeği’nin fikir önderliği alt boyut puan ortalaması 22,80±3,62, değişime direnç alt boyutu 18,76±3,35 ve risk alma alt boyutu 16,49±2,14’tür. Bireysel Yenilikçilik Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 68,45±8,54’tür. Duygusal tükenme ve duyarsızlaşma alt boyutları ile Bireysel Yenilikçilik Ölçeği arasında negatif yönde anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur (sırasıyla r=-0,232, p<0,001; r=-0,372, p<0,001). Sonuç: Bu araştırmaya göre, cerrahi birimlerde çalışan hemşirelerin yüksek düzeyde tükenmişlik yaşadığı ve yenilikçilik açısından sorgulayıcı olduğu bulunmuştur. Hemşirelerin duygusal tükenme ve duyarsızlaşma düzeyi arttıkça bireysel yenilikçilik düzeyi azalmıştır.

Abstract:

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between the levels of extinction and innovation of nurses working in surgical units. Method: This research in the identification and relationship search type was conducted online with 242 nurses working in surgical units. The research data was obtained using the Indicative Characteristics Form, the Maslach Extinction Scale and the Individual Innovation Scale. The statistical analysis of the data was evaluated by identifying statistics, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Bonferroni corrected Mann-Whitney U test, and Spearman correlation test. Results: The average age of nurses involved in the study is 31.16±7.53 years and 92.6% are women. Maslach Extinction Scale emotional extinction sub-dimensional score average is 29.16±7.18, insensitivity sub-dimensional score average is 11.45±3.97 and personal success sub-dimensional score average is 8.78±6.94. The idea leadership of the individual innovation scale is the sub-dimensional score average of 22.80±3.62, the sub-dimensional resistance to change is 18.76±3.35 and the risk-taking sub-dimensional is 16.49±2.14. The individual Innovation Scale's total score average is 68.45±8,54. There has been a significant link in the negative direction between the subdimensions of emotional exhaustion and insensitivity and the individual innovation scale (r=-0,232, p<0,001; r=-0,372, p<0,001). Result: This study found that nurses working in surgical units experienced a high level of exhaust and were questionable in terms of innovation. As the level of emotional exhaustion and sensitivity of nurses increases, the level of individual innovation has decreased.

Research data were obtained by using Descriptive Characteristics Form, Maslach Burnout Scale and Individual Innovativeness Scale. Statistical analysis of the data was evaluated using descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Mann-Whitney U test with Bonferroni correction and Spearman correlation test. Results: The average age of the nurses participating in the study is 31.16 ± 7.53 years and 92.6% of them are women. Maslach Burnout Scale's emotional exhaustion sub-dimension mean score is 29.16±7.18, depersonalization sub-dimension average score is 11.45±3.97, and personal accomplishment sub-dimension average score is 8.78±6.94. The opinion leadership sub-dimension mean score of the Individual Innovativeness Scale is 22.80±3.62, the resistance to change sub-dimension is 18.76±3.35 and the risk taking sub-dimension is 16.49±2.14. The total score average of the Individual Innovativeness Scale is 68.45±8.54. A significant negative correlation was found between emotional exhaustion and depersonalization sub-dimensions and the Individual Innovativeness Scale (r = -0.232, p <0.001; r = -0.372, p <0.001, respectively). Conclusion: According to this study, it was found that nurses working in surgical units experienced high levels of burnout and were questioning in terms of innovation. As the level of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization of nurses increased, the level of individual innovativeness decreased.
