Abstract The aging process of the population constitutes a very complex issue that can be investigated from various angles and whose importance has increased at present if its notable influence on the economic and social plane is taken into account. The purpose of this work is to characterize the spatial behavior of the aging process in Cuba, and by Territorial Groups between 1993 and 2008. The basic information with which we worked was taken from the Demographic Yearbooks and the publication El Envejecimiento de la Población, Cuba and its Territories for the years in question. The main indicators that characterize aging were calculated, obtaining as more general results that: the Central Grouping is the most aged and at the provincial level the cases of Villa Clara, Havana City and Sancti Spíritus stand out as the most affected by this process. end the year 2008
