Abstract:

Iran has attracted the attention of many peoples and rulers because of its geographical, human and strategic capabilities since the early ages. Over time, Iran has hosted the Part and Sasani civilizations, and it has become one of the countries that the Byzantine wants to conquer. This geography, which has entered the Arabs' domination with the Islamic conquests, has continued to exist as a center of attraction. From the past to the present, due to geographical proximity, Iran, which is the top of the countries where the Turks are most contacted in a cultural perspective, has also come to the top of the research fields of the Turkish historians in terms of its culture and its historical stakeholders. Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Black Sea’s work “Iran History 1700-1925” is considered to be the main book of Iranian historical workers. In addition, books such as Ervand Abrahamian’s Modern Iran History, Gene R. Garthwaite’s Iran History and Iranian History – from the oldest ages to the twentieth century – prepared by Mihail Sergeyevich Ivanov are also considerable works that are awarded to Turkey through translation.
