Osmanlı’da İktidarın Meşruiyeti Bağlamında 1582 Şenliğinde Esnaf Geçitleri

Her dönemde olduğu gibi Osmanlılar devrinde de birçok esnaf teşkilatı bulunmaktaydı. Surnameler, seyahatnameler, tarihler ve arşiv belgelerinde esnafların isimleri, sayıları ve faaliyetleri gibi çeşitli konularda bilgiler bulmak mümkündür. Kaynaklardan anlaşıldığına göre evliklik ve sünnet düğünü gibi Osmanlı saray şenliklerinde esnaflar ayrı bir yeri haizdir. Gelibolulu Mustafa Âli’nin 1582’de III. Murat’ın oğlu Mehmet (III) için yapılan gösterişli sünnet düğününü konu edinen Surnamesinde Edirne, İstanbul, Bursa gibi yerlerden çukacılar, kürkçüler, hallaçlar, kazzazlar, sarıkçılar, semerciler, kalaycılar, kahveciler, debbağlar, şişeciler, gözlükçüler gibi çeşitli esnaf gruplarının gösterileri, geçitleri ve hediyeleri vb. anlatılmıştır. Gösterilerle sunulan armağanlar adeta şenliklere damgasını vurmuştu. 1582 sünnet düğününde balıkçılar, büyük bir sandığın içinde yapay bir deniz oluşturmuşlardı. Alayla geçtikleri bu denizin içinde balıklar yüzüyor, üzerindeki sandalda ise kayıkçılar kürek çekiyor ve balıkçılar avlanıyordu. Hamamcılar da içinde kurnalar bulanan, sıcak sular akan ve üzerinden dumanlar çıkan yapay bir hamamla geçerek hediyelerini sunmuşlardı. Hamamın içinde bir tellak figürü ile elinde gümüş tasla yıkanan birinin de tasviri vardı. Başka bir düğünde çiftçiler, toprağı ekerek berberler, birbirinin saçını ve sakalını tıraş ederek çörekçiler ise bir araba üzerine yerleştirdikleri yanar fırında çörek pişirerek geçmiş ve altı büyük tabak içinde padişaha bu çöreklerden hediye etmişlerdi. Hediye listelerine dair kayıtlara Osmanlı arşiv belgelerinde de rastlanmaktadır (TSMA D. nr. 154). Bu çalışmada esnafların geçit, gösteri ve armağanlarıyla şenliklerin önemli bir unsuru olarak tebarüz etmelerinden bahisle Osmanlı sosyo-ekonomik tarihinde önemli bir yer tutan esnafların merasimlerde de iktidarın meşruiyeti bakımından önemli bir unsur olarak yer aldıklarına işaret edilmiştir.

It is possible to find information on various topics such as names, numbers and activities of tradesmen in travel documents, cronics and archive documents. It is understood from the sources that tradesmen have a different place in the festivals of the Ottoman palace such as marriage and circumcision wedding. The theme of the Gelibolulu Mustafa Ali’s work is the magnificent circumcision wedding held in 1582 for Mehmet (III) the son of Murat III. In this work, various artisan groups shows, passages and gifts are explained. The gifts presented with the shows were an important part of the festivities. In the 1582 circumcision wedding, the fishermen formed an artificial sea in a big pit. In this sea the fishes swam, the boaters paddled and the fishermen hunted. The hammamers presented their presents by passing through an artificial bath, which was found in the curnums, flowing with hot water and fumes. In another wedding, farmers planted land; barbers shave each other's hair and beard; maker of donut were baking donuts in the burning stove, which they placed on a car, and they presented to sultan from these donuts in six large plates. The records about the gift lists are also found in the Ottoman archive documents (TSMA, D. nr. 154). In this article it has been pointed out that in the context of the legality of power, craftsmen, who have an important place in the socio-economic history of Ottoman, have a different place in the festivals with their passages, performances and gifts.
