Abstract:

Mohammed Iqbal, the great poet and philosopher of Urdu Literature, has included poets, philosophers, monarchs and politicians from eastern and western literature in his works written in Urdu and Persian. Among these names, there are philosophers, poets and names that shape the world history, who influenced the thoughts of Iqbal. Iqbal also made references to prophets and prominent figures of Islam in his poems. In his works, he wrote not only positive people but also negative people like Ebu Leheb to set an example. In his works, he frequently warned to set an example for young people and Muslim societies, and he presented examples from people who have guided history in order to stimulate them. He also included important characters of the geography he lived in and his close friends in his poems. Iqbal, who competent Persian literature, made references to the most important names of Persian literature in his poems and wrote tazmin in his couplets. He re-presented the couplets he chose by blending them with his own thought. In this study, the effects of Persian poets on Iqbal's world of thought and their reflections on Iqbal's poetry are revealed. Iqbal's Urdu works were examined and Persian poets mentioned here were compiled. In addition, the Persian poets that Iqbal referred to in Urdu books were selected by taking the "Talmihaati Iqbal" work of Seyyid Abid Ali Abid as a reference. The biographies of the poets and how these poets are mentioned in which work are included.
