Abstract:

INTRODUCTION: This study was aimed at determining the impact and contribution of the laboratory capabilities, the quality of education, student motivation and satisfaction levels in some practical courses of the Veterinary Faculty students Method: The study was carried out with a total of 65 students from 29 women and 36 men. First of all, plastic models in the Anatomy applications (1 and 2. Class), electrocardiography in physiology applications (class 2) and laboratory applications (class 1 and 2). Class) practical courses included serology and molecular methods were given. The adequacy of the materials in the application courses was assessed by the survey, the impact on student education and the contribution to professional development. The study found that the satisfaction level for laboratory use and contribution was “good” with a 73.4 percent ratio. 93.8 percent of students that the application courses containing serology and molecular methods should be increased, 73.8 percent that these application courses increased their professional interests, and 66.2 percent that they had a positive contribution to their motivation in their learning process. Furthermore, it has been found that the use of plastic models in addition to the craving facilitates the learning process and increases the individual work efficiency, but the choice of craving, which is a traditional option, is still concerned by students and that the use of models with craving is preferred. Veterinary electrocardiography application and use will contribute to professional experience (100%), the experience it acquires is important (96.7%) and the lesson and application can be better understood (83.4). The use of laboratory facilities and alternative educational methods has been established as a positive contribution to the education of veterinary medicine in terms of student motivation and professional development.
