Abstract:

Middle Asia, which has been the home of the Turkish world for thousands of years, has become under the control of Tsarish Russia over time. Although serious struggles were made on the way of independence, after the establishment of the Soviet Union, the prison reached a more serious dimension. As well, Azerbaijan has not been able to maintain its independence for a long time. The various policies implemented in this process were attempted to ensure that Muslim Turks lost their religious and national ties. The Russian policy has been strictly implemented. After 70 years of pressure and exploitation, with the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the Turkish Republics of Central Asia gained independence. After the Turkish Republics gained independence, they were unable to get rid of Russia’s control. As a result of the long-standing policies, these countries have become dependent on Russia in almost every way. After the Soviets, the Turkish states are trying to resist. But they were forced to get closer to Russia for economic and/or political reasons. The relations of Turkey with the Turkish world have changed in the historical process. In the after-independence period, relations with the Turkish Republics of Central Asia were attempted to improve. This study has been aimed at presenting a future perspective by turning the past and present of the relations between the Turkish states of Central Asia and Turkey. In this context, a special place was given to Azerbaijan.
