Abstract:

The Karamanis are the Christian Orthodoxs who write and read Turkish with Greek letters and speak Turkish. There are various opinions about the origin of this name. The most common view is that the name of these people is derived from the geography they live in. Today this geography includes the provinces of Kayseri, Niğde, Nevşehir, Konya and Karaman, but Karamanis have lived in many regions, including the Black Sea, the Mediterranean, the Ege and the Inner Anadolu (Ibar 2010:105). In 1924 they were sent to Greece as a result of a population exchange with Greece. Different views on their origins are presented. But the general blood is that they are Turkish. Regardless of their ethnic origins, Christian Karamanis have lived in the territory of Anatolia for a long time. in Alanya The Turkish Karaman The history of the works that are known as the language and the paintings are taken to the 15th century. The words in the dictionary will be addressed in terms of specific conceptual fields. This work will be evaluated in terms of dictionary methods and will be attempted to determine the place of the work in the Ottoman dictionary tradition by comparing the latter period with the Ottoman dictionary.
