In the last two decades, the rapid changes and developments that occurred in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), the importance attributed to knowledge, and the fact that knowledge is seen as the most important strategic asset, have effected the organizations that try to survive in the competitive and complex conditions of the environment. For organizations that try to survive in such environments, the key concept based on continuous learning and self-development has been organizational learning philosophy. After the first mentioning by Cyert and March in 1963, organizational learning concept has been the main focus of interest of the organizational management field. Although many scientists talked about the importance and meaning of the term in different books and articles, Peter Senge was the man who had the concept gained its popularity in 1990âaâ¬aâ¢s. The goals and means of educational institutions, as knowledge intensive organizations, are knowledge based. In that concept, effective management of knowledge that comprises gathering, mining, storing, generating, and transferring knowledge, has been contribute a lot to the learning organizations. And, ICT, as the means of knowledge management, plays important roles in becoming of schools as learning organizations. In this study, based on the literature review, the roles of ICT was examined and due to emerging dynamics, some recommendations were made.
