Abstract:

The Covid-19 virus, which has caused an epidemic around the world, has irreversibly affected every aspect of life since the day it was declared as a Pandemic in March 2020. Considering the destruction it has caused, emerged that countries are unprepared for situations such as pandemics. In this study, first of all, the emergence of the pandemic and its effects on the economy were discussed and the relevant literature was reviewed. It has been tried to evaluate the economic effects of the epidemic at the global, national and local level. Afterwards, the effect of the epidemic on the economy of Isparta at the local level was emphasized. The effects of the pandemic at the local level were examined in terms of international trade transactions in Isparta province. In this context, in order to reveal the change, published reports and statistical data were examined and a comparison was made about the situation before and after the pandemic.
