Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı İzmir’deki sağlık profesyonellerinin afet triajına ilişkin etik bilgi düzeylerinin yeterli olup olmadığı ve bunun etik karar verme eğilimlerine etkisini belirlemektir. Materyal-Metod: Veri toplama aracı olarak bağlayıcı vignette yöntemi ile hazırlanmış olan anket formu kullanılmıştır. Hazırlanan anket formları çalışmanın yapıldığı ildeki 112 Acil Sağlık İstasyonları çalışanları, UMKE ekibi ve AKS-110 ekibinden toplam 215 sağlık profesyoneline uygulanmıştır. Böylelikle sağlık profesyonellerinin afet triajı yapabilme yeterlilikleri ve ikilem halinde etik karar verebilme düzeylerini değerlendirilmiş ve değişkenler ile arasındaki ilişkiler belirlenmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırma sonucunda katılımcıların %51,2’sinin afet triajı etik bilgi düzeylerinin yetersiz olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların afet triajı etik bilgi düzeyi arttıkça etik karar verme eğilimlerinin de arttığı gözlemlenmiştir (p=0,00). Katılımcılar, afet triajında ölüm kararı verme, CPR uygulama ve kıt kaynakların paylaştırılması konusunda etik ikilemde kalmışlardır. Sonuç: Öncelikli olarak afet öncesi hazırlık döneminde afet triajına yönelik eğitimlerin arttırılması ve sağlık profesyonellerinin mesleki eğitimlerinde almış oldukları etik derslerine afet triajının etik boyutunun da dahil edilmesi önerilmektedir. Sağlık profesyonellerinin etik düşünebilme ve etik karar verebilme yetenekleri yapılan tatbikatlar, simülasyonlar ve masa üstü egzersizlerle geliştirilmelidir. Hazırlanacak bu uygulamalı eğitimlerde etik ikilemin yaşanabileceği afet senaryoları yer almalıdır.
Purpose: The purpose of this research is to determine whether the ethical level of knowledge about the triangle of disasters of health professionals in Izmir is sufficient and how it affects the ethical decision-making tendencies. Material-Method: The survey form, which is prepared with the linking vignette method as a data collection tool, has been used. The prepared survey forms were applied to a total of 215 health professionals from the 112 Emergency Health Stations staff, UMKE team and AKS-110 team in the province where the study was carried out. Thus, the skills of health professionals to do a triangle of disasters and the levels of ethical decision-making in the case of two-time have been assessed and the relationships between the variables have been determined. Results: The study found that 51.2% of participants found that their ethical knowledge levels in the triangle of disasters were insufficient. The triangle of disasters of participants has been observed as the level of ethical knowledge increases, the tendency to make ethical decisions has also increased (p=0,00). Participants remained in the ethical bilateral in deciding on death in the triangle of catastrophes, implementing CPR and sharing poor resources. Result: First of all, it is recommended that the training for the triangle of the catastrophe in the pre-catastrophe preparation period be increased and that the ethical dimension of the triangle of the catastrophe be included in the ethical courses that health professionals have received in their professional training. The ability of ethical thinking and decision-making of health professionals should be developed through exercises, simulations and table exercises. These practical training should include the catastrophic scenarios that ethical duality can experience.
