Objective: The job satisfaction is one of the most important factors that increase employees’ organizational purpose. It can be said that, there is a positive relationship between quality and efficiency of the service job satisfaction and motivation of employees. The nurses’ job satisfaction can be affected by many factor such as individual characteristics. colleague etc.The descriptive study was aimed to examine the factors that influence nurses’ job satisfaction and affecting factors.Material and Methods: The sample was the 129 nurses who work in Afyon Kocatepe University Hospital. The data was collected by “demographic characteristics form”. “Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale” and “Herzberg’s double factor motivation scale”. Spearman correlation was performed between the categorical data. and Pearson correlation analysis was performed between numerical data to determine the relationship. Results: Mean score of nurses’ job satisfaction was found 61. 91 ±16.08. The motivating power of the institution was found to be significantly correlated with job satisfaction (r=0.469 p<0.001) . Conclusion: Organization’s ability to motivate people may have an effect on job satisfaction.The degree of provision of motivational factors can be one of the most important agent that determine the success of an institution
