Yapılan bu çalışmanın amacı, basketbol ve futbol branşındaki sporcuların narsisizm düzeyi ve beden algıları arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak, ‘‘Narsistik Kişilik Envanteri’’ ve ‘‘Beden Algısı Ölçeği’’ kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde SPSS 20 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin normal dağılıma sahip olduğunu belirlemek için ‚Kolmogorov-Smirnov? testi, homojenliğini belirlemek için ''Anova-Homogenety of variance? testi uygulanmış ve verilerin homojen ve normal bir dağılıma sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Verilerin analizinde, tanımlayıcı istatistik analizi, pearson korelasyon analizi, ve regresyon analizi uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda, basketbolcuların narsisizm skorunun futbolculardan daha fazla olduğu; futbolcuların beden algısı skorunun basketbolculardan daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.
The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between the level of narcissism and body perceptions of athletes in the basketball and football industry. In the study, as a data collection tool, the "Narsistic Personality Inventory" and the "Body Perception Scale" were used. The SPSS 20 package program has been used for the processing of the data obtained. To determine that the data has a normal distribution ,Kolmogorov-Smirnov? Anova-Homogenety of Variance? The test has been applied and the data has been determined to have a homogeneous and normal distribution. In the analysis of data, identifiable statistical analysis, pearson correlation analysis, and regression analysis were applied. At the end of the study, basketball players have more narcissistic scores than footballers; footballers' body perception scores are higher than basketball players.
