Abstract:

The aim of the research is to contribute to making new education-teaching practices more effective and successful in this process by evaluating the existing online teaching studies for the correct structuring and regulation of education during the epidemic process, and creating a perspective on how much it can meet the expectations and what more needs to be done. The negativities and deficiencies encountered in the functioning of this process should be identified and this process should be successful and it should be made more effective in the next process. With this in mind, the research was carried out with a total of 45 teacher candidates in the Turkish, Science, Mathematics, English, and Arts Education departments of Gazi University, Faculty of Gazi Education, who received distance education for more than one year. The research was carried out with qualitative research method and semi-structured 6-question interview form. As a result of the research, it was seen that the pre-service teachers had program conflicts between the field courses and the teaching profession courses, there were problems with the exams, and the level of clarity of the presentations was low. In addition, problems related have to the lack of practical use of the system, the inadequacy of the relevant people in using technology and the participation of the students in the course were determined. It was determined that the inadequacies in preparation for the lesson and the quality of the information provided were not at the desired level. In order to turn these negativities into advantages, program developers should complete the deficiencies of teachers and students.
