Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to identify the unwanted behaviors that teachers’ candidates show in the classroom and the causes of these behaviors. The research is structured using the research approach. The research study group is a University's Psychological Consultancy and Guidance Department 2. The class forms students. The data was collected by the teacher's candidate in the interview form, analyzed by the content. The study found that teachers’ candidates showed unwanted behaviors that could be associated with the individual non-hearing of the lesson and disruption of the class order. However, the reasons for unwanted behaviors shown in the classroom have been determined to be related to the fact that the teacher candidates are not satisfied with the classroom’s teacher, find the class as boring, experience a problem of insomnia for various reasons, their personal characteristics and their incapacity to focus on the classroom. In this context, courses can be designed to increase the interest and participation of teachers candidates and to give teachers awareness of overcoming unwanted student behavior.
