Abstract:

Today, metabolic syndrome creates a major health problem worldwide. Metabolic syndrome is characterized by high blood pressure, obesity, insulin resistance and diabetes mellitus. Patients with metabolic syndrome must change their way of life. Treatment of patients with metabolic syndrome requires physical activity, changes in diet and weight loss. If these patients cannot succeed in treatment with a lifestyle change, they should use some medications. First, insulin resistance needs to be treated. In the treatment of insulin resistance and diabetes mellitus, metformin, tiazolidinedions or glitazons should be used. Secondly, dyslipidemia and obesity should be treated with statins and fibrates. Treatment of compounds of metabolic syndrome such as cardiovascular diseases, hypertension and polycystic over syndrome is often associated with the treatment of insulin resistance, obesity and dyslipidemia. Because insulin resistance is the main cause of metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome should be treated early, as delayed treatments remain insufficient and are very expensive. The purpose of this collection is to reflect metabolic syndrome, its conservation and treatment in the light of current information.
