Abstract:

Election manifestos were evaluated in terms of local social policy in the study. The aim of the research is to analyze the election manifestos of CHP Headquarters and CHP Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral Candidate in the local elections held on March 31, 2019, in terms of social policy. Descriptive content analysis was performed using the MAXQDA 20 program in the research. Social policy precaution may vary according to social problems in the social structure. From this point the similarity status of the local election manifesto with the election manifesto announced by the headquarters of the same party has been evaluated. It is seen that there is a similarity in the central-local election manifestos in terms of disabled, women, elderly and unemployed, environment, transportation and traffic. However, it can be stated that there are differences in the election manifestos on issues related to immigrants, poverty and urban transformation.
