TARIMSAL YAYIMDA KİTLE İLETİŞİM ARAÇLARI VE ZİRAAT FAKÜLTESİ ÖĞRETİM ELEMANLARININ TARIM TEMALI TELEVİZYON KANALLARINA KARŞI TUTUMLARI

Abstract:

Bu çalışma, ziraat fakültelerinde görev yapan öğretim elemanlarının, tarım temalı televizyon kanallarına karşı tutumlarını ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın ana materyalini Türkiye’de ki ziraat fakültelerinde görev yapan öğretim elemanlarından anket yöntemi ile elde edilen birincil veriler oluşturmaktadır. YÖK akademi kayıtlarına göre ilgili alanda Türkiye’de toplam 4728 öğretim elemanı bulunmaktadır. Anket formu elektronik posta yöntemi ile tüm öğretim elemanlarına gönderilmiş olup, 312 geri dönüş olmuştur. Bu örneklem büyüklüğü %95 güven seviyesi ve ±%5,36 hata payına karşılık gelmektedir. Katılımcılara sorulan 16 likert ölçekli soruya faktör analizi uygulanmış, ifadeler dört faktör başlığı altında toplanmıştır. Katılımcılara göre tarım temalı TV ler çok yüksek düzeyde olmasa da tarımsal ilgi ve gelişime olumlu bir katkı sağlamaktadır (genel ortalama 3.55) ancak paydaşlarla iletişimi yeterli düzeyde değildir (genel ortalama 2.85). Katılımcılar tarım temalı TV kanallarının program içeriklerinin teknik yeterliliğinin çok yüksek düzeyde olmadığını (genel ortalama 2.97) bu nedenle akademisyenlerden daha çok yararlanılması gerektiğini belirtmiştir (genel ortalama 4.05). Tarım temalı TV kanalları tarımsal yayım ve gelişimde önemli bir rol üstlenmektedir. Bu önemli sorumluluk yerine getirilirken, hazırlanan programların teknik içerikleri uzman kadrolarca ve özellikle alanında uzman akademisyenlerce hazırlanmalı ya da denetlenmelidir. Üreticilerde motivasyonun arttırılmasına yönelik yarışmalara ve başarı öykülerine daha çok yer verilmelidir.

The aim of this study was to reveal the attitudes of the faculty members working in agriculture faculties towards agriculture-themed television channels. The main material of this research is primary data obtained through the survey method from academic staff in the faculty of agriculture in Turkey. According to the Council of Higher Education academy records, there are 4728 faculty members in Turkey in the field. The questionnaire was sent to all faculty members by electronic mail method and 312 were returned. This sample you; 95% confidence level and ± 5.36% error margin. Factor analysis was applied to 16 likert scale questions which were asked to the participants, expressions are grouped under four factors. According to the participants, agriculture-themed TVs make a positive contribution to agricultural interest and development, although they are not very high (general average 3.55) but communication with stakeholders is not sufficient (general average 2.85). Participants stated that the technical competence of agricultural-themed TV channels was not very high (general average 2.97) and therefore academics should be more benefited (general average 4.05). Agriculture-themed TV channels play an important role in agricultural publishing and development. While fulfilling this important responsibility, the technical contents of the programs should be prepared or supervised by expert staff and especially by academics who are specialized in their field. Competitions and success stories for increasing the motivation of producers should be given more place in these programs.
