Dünyanın farklı ülkelerindeki değişik yazma eser kütüphanelerinde bulunan Osmanlı kroniklerinin tespit edilerek bunların içeriklerinin değerlendirilmesi, tarih yazımı için olmazsa olmaz hususlardan biridir. Bu eserlerin belirli konular dikkate alınarak yapılacak tasniflerinin, o konuları çalışacak araştırmacılara büyük kolaylıklar sağlayacağı açıktır. Zikredilen düşünceden hareketle hazırlanan bu makalede, Osmanlı Devleti tarafından XVII. asırda alınan Girit’in fethiyle ilgili, Türkiye’deki yazma eser kütüphanelerinde bulunan eserlerin tanıtımı ve kaynak değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. İncelenen eserlerin çoğu daha önce tespit edilmiş kroniklerin nüshalarından oluşmaktadır. Yine ele alınan yazmaların büyük oranda, kendi zamanından önce yazılmış kroniklerden yapılan alıntılardan müteşekkil oldukları belirlenmiştir. Bunların ekseriyetle Katib Çelebi’nin Fezleke’si ile Mühürdar Hasan Ağa’nın Cevâhirü’t-tevârih’inden ya da ondan yararlanan diğer kroniklerden istifade ettikleri anlaşılmıştır. Mecmua içinde yer alan bir kısım kaynağın ise Kandiye’nin fethi sonrası hazırlanmış fetihnamenin bir sureti olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Identifying the Ottoman chronicles found in different writing works libraries in different countries of the world, the assessment of their contents is one of the facts if not for history writing. It is clear that the designs of these works, taking into account certain topics, will provide great facilities to researchers who will work on those topics. In this article prepared by the movement of the Zikred Thought, by the Ottoman State XVII. Related to the conquest of Girit in the century, the publication and source assessment of the works found in the literary works libraries in Turkey has been made. Most of the work reviewed consists of the scenes of previously identified chronicles. Again, it is determined that the discussed writings are largely grateful for quotes from chronicles written before their time. It is understood that they have taken advantage of the Fezleke of Katib Çelebi and Mühürdar Hasan Ağa's Cevâhirü't-tevârih or other chronicles that are used for it. A part of the source in Mecmua is found to be a form of the conquest prepared after the conquest of Kandiye.
The identification of the Ottoman chronicles in different literary libraries in different countries of the world and the evaluation of their contents is one of the indispensable aspects of writing history. It is clear that the sorting of these works by considering certain topics will provide great convenience to the researchers who work on them. In this article which was prepared with the motivation of the mentions mentioned, was made an assessment on the introduction of the artifacts and resource evaluation related to the conquest of Crete which was taken by Ottoman State in XVII century. Most of the studied works consists of copies of previously identified chronicles. It has also been determined that the writings discussed are largely composed of quotations from chronicles written before their time. It is understood that these are mostly benefited from Katib Çelebi’s Fezleke and Mühürdar Hasan Ağa’s Cevâhirü’t-tevârih or other chronicles benefiting from it. Some of the sources in Mecmua were also determined to be a copy of the fathnama (fetihname) prepared after the conquest of Candia
