Abstract:

The aim of this study is to reveal what the trends in postgraduate studies related to children's literature are. For this purpose, the method of content analysis was used in the research. The work group consists of 677 undergraduate studies conducted between 1987 and 2020 at the National Thesis Center of the Higher Education Council (YÖK). In the process of collecting research data, the document examination technique was used. The results of each variable are digitalized and represented by the frequency and percentage values in the tables. In the end of the study, the university where many postgraduate studies related to children's literature were carried out was the University of Ankara, the number of theses increased each semester, especially after 2016 this increase reached almost twice, the extensive study was carried out at the master's level, the majority of the postgraduate theses were illustrative qualifications, the majority of the research was carried out in the form of the study of any writer or work in the context of children's literature, the topics discussed in the postgraduate studies were relevant to children's/child literature and the key concepts used in the theses were, respectively, children's literature, children's education and education.
