The outbreak of the new virus called as Covid–19 in the beginning of the year 2019 has completely changed the human lives of the entire world. Education system along with many other sectors was severely affected. The normal traditional education system had stopped because of this pandemic and most of the institutions rapidly shifted to online mode to continue teaching, training and evaluation. The present study examined the perception of the student-teachers towards e-learning across gender, residential locality and type of teacher education programme. The survey was conducted through a self-constructed online questionnaire. One fifty student-teachers of B.Ed. and M.Ed. programme of Visva-Bhararti university participated in the study. Results revealed significant difference between the perception of student-teachers across their residential locality. No significant difference was found across gender and type of teacher education programme. Also, a significant interaction was found between gender and residential locality of student-teachers.
