John Maynard Keynes is one of the most exceptional figures in the history of economic thought. He wrote a revolutionary book in terms of economic theory, while he was, on the one hand, an influential politician who attended the Paris Peace Conference as one of its representatives on Britain's official delegation and the Bretton-Woods Conference as an advisor to the British Treasury, and on the other hand, his area of interest extended from arts to mathematics, literature to finance expertise. In this regard, there is a close relationship between his intellectual character and his economic theory. The aim of this paper is to emphasize the effects of such socio-intellectual groups as Bloomsbury Group and Cambridge Circle on his magnum opus The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money, and examine this book in general terms.
