Abstract:

Abstract The study constitutes an approach to such a sensitive area, such as the support that our family provides to the elderly today, a group to which one day we will belong. It is also focused on a special interest in organizations of the government in the province of Villa Clara and its actions based on the older sector of the population. The project was conceived in a transdisciplinary way in order to answer the question: What is the situation of the elderly in the oldest province in the country? The research perspective was predominantly sociological and takes the family as the starting point, based on its double condition; The family is considered the cell of society and as a system it depends on and is in continuous interrelation with the social macrosystem.
