Bu araştırmada Halk Eğitim Merkezinde görev yapmakta olan kurum personelinin yönetim hakkındaki metaforlarının ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma alanını 2018-2019 Eğitim Öğretim yılında İzmir ili Buca ilçesine bağlı Halk Eğitim Merkezi’nde görev yapmakta olan 33 kurum personeli oluşturmaktadır. Nitel araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı bu araştırmanın deseni olarak da olgu bilim (fenomenoloji) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri, nitel araştırma yönteminde kullanılan ve araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile elde edilmiştir. Çalışma bulgularına göre, araştırmaya katılan halk eğitim merkezi personeli, halk eğitim yönetimine ilişkin 24 farklı metafor üretmişlerdir. Üretilen metaforlar temalar halinde gruplandırılmıştır. Halk eğitim merkezi personelinin üretmiş olduğu metaforlar, “lider, aile, besleyici, birleştirici, sorun çözücü, fedakârlık ve çalışkanlık” olmak üzere toplam 6 adet temada toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın katılımcıları en fazla “birleştirici” teması altında metafor üretmişlerdir. Halk eğitim personellerinin ürettiği metaforlara göre kurum personelleri halk eğitim yönetimini en fazla sırasıyla, ağaç, aile ve ev metaforları ile temsil etmişlerdir. Halk eğitim yönetimine ilişkin üretilen metaforların olumlu olduğu belirlenmiştir. Halk eğitim personeli halk eğitim yönetimini kendi ailesinden biri gibi, fedakâr, birleştirici, besleyici bir kurum olarak görmektedirler. Ayrıca toplumsal sorunları çözme bakımından birçok unsuru bir araya getirerek sorunları çözen, çalışkan bir lider olarak gördükleri tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan personellerin yönetime ilişkin üretmiş oldukları metaforlar cinsiyetleri, meslek türleri ve yaşları açısından farklılaştığı sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır.
This research aims to reveal the metaphors about the management of the institutional staff in the Public Education Center. The work area of the research is formed by 33 institutional staff working in the People's Education Center associated with the district of İzmir or Buca in the 2018-2019 Education Education Year. As a design of this research method, the fact science (fenomenology) was also used. The research data was obtained by a semi-configured interview form used in the quality research method and developed by the researcher. According to the findings of the study, the public education center staff involved in the study produced 24 different metaphors about public education management. The metaphors produced are grouped into themes. The metaphors produced by the staff of the People's Education Center have been gathered in a total of 6 topics, including "leader, family, nutrition, unifying, problem solving, sacrifice and workforce". The participants of the study produced the most metaphors under the "unifying" topic. According to the metaphors produced by public education staff, the institution staff most represented public education management, respectively, with trees, family and home metaphors. The metaphors produced in relation to the public education management have been determined to be positive. Public education staff see public education management as one of their own families, as a sacrificial, unifying, nutritional institution. They have also been identified as a working leader who solves problems by combining many elements in terms of solving social problems. The study found that the metaphors they produced regarding management differed in terms of gender, type of profession and age.
In this research, it was aimed to reveal the metaphors of the institution personnel working in the Public Education Center about the management. The study group of the research consists of the personnel of 33 institutions working in the Public Education Center of İzmir province Buca district in 2018-2019 Education Year. Phenomenology was used as the design of this research, in which qualitative research method was used. The data of the research were obtained by the semi-structured interview form used in the qualitative research method and developed by the researcher. According to the findings of the study, the public education center personnel who participated in the study produced 24 different metaphors about public education management. The metaphors produced are grouped into themes. The metaphors produced by the staff of the public education center are gathered under 7 themes: "diligence, family, leader, nurturing, problem solver, sacrifice, unifying". Participants of the study mostly produced metaphors under the "unifying" theme. According to the metaphors produced by the public education personnel, the personnel of the institution represented the public education management mostly with the metaphors of tree, family and house, respectively. It has been determined that the metaphors produced regarding public education management are positive. Public education personnel see the public education administration as a self-sacrificing, unifying and nurturing institution, like one of their own family. In addition, it has been determined that they see them as a hardworking leader who solves problems by bringing together many elements in terms of solving social problems.
