Religiosity has an important function in the formation and consolidation of gendered understanding. It has been inevitable that religiosity takes place as a side effect or an inherent factor in the developmental process of gender, in particular, women's discussions. In this sense, religiousness is one of the factors most closely related to gender. It is known that religions also make regulations without being indifferent to their social gender identity. It is possible to encounter these arrangements in every stage of life. In the historical process, both in the sacred teachings of religions and in the comments made by the members of that religion, while men were mostly depicted as “neutral” or “privileged”, multidimensional depictions of women have emerged. A complex structure of different and contradictory attitudes on behalf of women can be mentioned within the religious culture. It is seen that this complex structure has expanded considerably with the intervention of patriarchal discourses in religious discourses. So much so that this starts with the “belief in a masculine God” and continues until almost every perception and judgment about gender. The examination of the relationship between women and religion started in the 19th century. However, the concentration on this issue was mainly in the second half of the 20th century. Since 1960 the projections in Turkey this discussion of “women and religion” shows itself very much with the work occurring in the universe. In this paper, in Turkey by making a literature review over the Turkish literature related with “religion-gender-woman” were discussed in the framework of the relationship and “Islamist feminism” work can be evaluated under the title were made of a bibliographic research. The numerical determination of the works that make up the literature was made first and the demographic characteristics such as subject, author, genre, year were determined and their proportional distributions were given in tables. In line with this research, some questions were sought to be answered. These questions can be listed as follows: “Which are has more word; men or women in these studies?” “How is the proportional distribution of works as books, articles, doctorate thesis and graduate thesis?” “How did the proportional distribution of the works according to years?” “As of the point reached, what has been the most or least contact with these studies?” “Which of the quantitative or qualitative methodologies were used in the studies?” “What can be defined as a general title for these studies that span a broad stratum?” It is thought that this study which is looking for answers to such questions will be useful to see the distance taken in this context with its deficiencies or matured aspects. In this direction, some suggestions are made based on the deficiencies in the literature. According to the general result of the study, it is seen that the Muslim woman has a say in the matters within the context of religion that directly concern her.
