Abstract:

ABSTRACT The Sheriff Husayn-Mac Mahon and Sykes-Picot Treaties concluded during the World War I brought up both the Arab and English-French goals over the Palestinian territories. The Balfour Declaration issued by England gave the Jewish the opportunity of achieving their goals over Palestine. At the Paris Peace Conference the Arabs, Jewish and French strived to dominate over Palestine on the basis of their own claims. As Faysal who represented the Arabs at the conference had previously come to terms with Weimann who is the president of World Zionist Organization, concerning the Jewish migration, they had no dispute there. The Zionist representatives at the Paris Peace Conference tried to persuade England and the USA rather than receiving the support of France. The arguments used by the Zionists when persuading England and the USA were mainly their historical possession of Palestine and the troubles experienced by the Jewish living in a variety of countries. According to the Zionists, it was time for the Jewish who had been separated from Palestine for centuries to return home. The conference had declined the demand of the Zionists which was supported by Faysal and was not welcomed by France for the time being. However, the Zionists declared the world that they were ready to go back to Palestine for the first time in an international meeting.
