Abstract:

Günümüzde ağaç malzemenin yapısal veya yarı yapısal alanlarda en ekonomik bir şekilde kullanılması kaçınılmaz bir zorunluluk haline gelmiştir. Ağaç malzemenin; farklı amaçlarda kullanılması, çeşitli deney yöntemleriyle fiziksel ve mekanik özelliklerinin araştırılarak ortaya konulması ile orantılıdır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda ıhlamur ( Tilia tomentosa) odununun; radyal, teğet ve enine yüzeyde statik sertlik değeri, çivi ve vida tutma kapasitesi, eğilmede elastikiyet modülü, eğilme direnci ile hava kurusu yoğunluk değeri belirlenmiştir. Deney sonuçlarına göre; vida tutma kapasitesi enine, radyal ve teğet yüzeyde sırasıyla 13.47, 20.32 ve 24.60 N/mm 2 olarak belirlenmiştir. Çivi tutma kapasitesi; enine, radyal ve teğet yüzeylerde sırasıyla 5.00, 7.01 ve 7.09 N/mm 2 olarak ve Janka sertlik değeri; enine, radyal ve teğet yüzeylerde sırasıyla, 50.13, 27.30 ve 33.03 N/mm 2, eğilmede elastikiyet modülü 8572.87 N/mm 2, eğilme direnci 83.26 N/mm 2 ve hava kurusu yoğunluk değeri ise 489.46 kg/m 3 olarak belirlenmiştir. Deney numunelerinden elde edilen veriler bazı endüstriyel ve endüstriyel olmayan odun türleri ile karşılaştırılarak bu odun türü hakkında bilgi verilmiştir.

Abstract:

Today, it has become an inevitable necessity to use wood material in the most economical way in structural or semi-structural areas. Wood material; use for structural or non-structural purposes; It is proportional to the determination of its mechanical and physical properties by various test methods. In this study, it was aimed to determine some important mechanical and physical properties of linden ( Tilia tomentosa) wood. For this purpose, linden wood; Static hardness value in radial, tangential and cross section surface, nail and screw holding capacity, modulus of elasticity in bending, bending resistance and air dry density value were determined. According to the test results; screw holding capacity was determined as 13.47, 20.32 and 24.60 N/mm 2 in the cross-section, radial and tangential surface, respectively. Nail holding capacity on the cross-section, radial and tangential surfaces were 5.00, 7.01, and 7.09 N/mm2, respectively. Janka hardness on the cross-section, radial and tangential surfaces were 50.13, 27.30 and 33.03 N/mm 2 respectively. Flexural modulus of elasticity 8572.87 N/mm 2, bending strength 83.26 N/mm 2 and air dry density value were 489.46 kg/m 3. The data obtained from the test samples were compared with some industrial and non-industrial wood types and information about this wood type was given.
