The aim of this study was to examine the lesson plans developed according to the 5E learning model and the REACT strategy of "Simple Electric Circuits", one of the science subjects of classroom teacher candidates who will train and provide them with basic education. A case study approach was used to answer the research questions. The study was carried out in Primary Education Program, Department of Primary Education, Giresun University. The sample of the study was composed of 55 classroom teacher candidates. As data collection tool, the lesson plans teacher candidates prepared according to the 5E learning model and REACT strategy were used. For data analysis, rubrics consisting of five criteria and three categories were used for the 5E learning model and the REACT strategy. After data analysis, it was seen that the teacher candidates’ lesson plans for the REACT strategy were more successful than the 5E learning model.
