Objectives: In this study, a descriptive study was carried out to determine the relationship between the Body Perceptions and Jealousy levels of the pregnant women in the third trimester. Methods: The study was carried out with 228 pregnant women who were admitted to Obstetrics and Gynecology outpatient clinic between June and October 2018.Data were collected using the Multidimensional Jealousy Scale and Body PerceptionScale. Jealousy was evaluated as emotional, behavioral and cognitive. Body perception were evaluated as low and high body perception. The results were evaluated at 95% confidence interval and p <0.05 meaningfull level and the licensed SPSS (IBM SPSS for Windows, ver.24) program was used. Results: In this study about the pregnancies of the third trimestir, which is the physically and emotionally most sensitive period of pregnancy, it was determined that the increase in Body Perception score was accompanied by a decrease in the Jealousy Scale score. It was determined that the body perceptions of pregnants who have good communication with their husband is high. In this study, the relationship between Body Perception and Jealousy sub-dimensions was also investigated. The relationship between body perception and emotional and cognitive jealousy was not significant. In contrast, low or high body perception caused a significant change in behavioral jealousy. Conclusions: Those with low Body Perception scores had higher levels of behavioral jealousy. According to the results of the study, it is recommended that pregnant and husband trainings should be given to adaptation to physiological or psychological changes that may occur during pregnancy.
