Signs and symptoms of intestinal dysbiosis in eutrophic and overweight women

Introduction: Intestinal dysbiosis is characterized by the negative changes that occur in the quantity and quality of microorganisms residing in our intestines, and may be related to other pathologies, such as obesity, since being overweight can accentuate the proliferation of harmful bacteria. Objective: To evaluate the presence of signs and symptoms of intestinal dysbiosis in eutrophic and overweight women of the spontaneous demand of Basic Health Units of the city of Picos-PI. Materials and methods: This is a cross-sectional study with a quantitative design, involving 50 women, aged between 19 and 59 years old, who were eutrophic and overweight, from Basic Health Units of the city of Picos-PI in August and September of 2018. Results: Of the total, 41.54% correspond to overweight women and 32.12% are equivalent to eutrophic women. 58.3% of overweight women are at risk for cardiometabolic complications and 54.2% of those with hypersensitivity signs show that 76% of the women who are overweight are less likely to develop dysbiosis. a classification of moderate signs and symptoms, but those with overweight 70.8% presented. Regarding the food frequency questionnaire, the eutrophic group showed a healthier food intake than those with overweight. Conclusion: A high prevalence of signs and symptoms of dysbiosis was noted in the study population, it is extremely important to pay attention to the balance of the intestinal microbiota, since it has a great influence on human health.
