Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to investigate whether the stentization of carotene, a therapeutic technique used in the treatment of carotene arterial stenosis, is equivalent to carotene endarterectomy in terms of clinical and economic effectiveness at the systemic aggregation level. Randomized controlled studies for clinical effectiveness are systematically aggregated. The main results to be measured in the study are infarction, myocardial infarction and mortality. For economic assessment, the studies compared carotene stenting and carotene endarterectomy in terms of cost-benefit or cost-effectiveness. In the study, short and medium-term infection after treatment was high in the stenting group; myocardial infarction was seen higher in endarterectomy. The phenomenon of mortality has produced similar or close results in both techniques. When the therapeutic techniques were evaluated in terms of economic assessment, the stenting method did not provide the expected benefit against endarterectomy due to the high processing costs. Carotic endarterectomy has been more cost-effective in many studies than carotic stenting.
