Abstract:

People's stories in which stories are transmitted in species based on the narrative or near-truth events are seen as cultural heritage that social memory has left to the next generations for centuries. These stories have a very valuable and rich content in terms of literary and historical values. In the study, the history of Tahir and Zühre, which is located in cultural memory, will be compared with the 1952 film "Tahir and Zühre" and the contemporary theatre example "Tahir and Zühre" game. In this comparison, first the story of Tahir and Zühre will be studied, the story will be transmitted in the context of the motives and episodes. Then the story of the film "Tahir with Zühre" will be presented, written and directed by Omer Lütfi Akad, and the main roles shared by Sezer Sezin and Kenan Artun. Finally, Hayrettin Filiz's "Tahir and Zühre" theatre, which has been painted in this framework, will be evaluated in the context of text intersection of the stories, the direction of adaptation, inspiration, re-creation will be compared. Around the re-writing of the story in various forms, the main motives will be evaluated to reflect on new texts. In the study, the transformation process of Tahir and Zühre's story will be transmitted from the story to the cinema, from the cinema to the theatre, the transformation process of the story.
