Virtual reality is a computer-simulated environment, whether that environment is a simulation of the real or imaginary world. Virtual Reality is often used to describe a wide variety of applications. Virtual Reality technology continues to be used frequently in education in recent years but this technology has never been tried in the History of Religions class. We argue here that this technology provides a valuable aid to conventional learning paradigms. In this study; In recent years, one of the innovative applications in the application of technology in education, virtual reality glasses, the course of History of Religions, the approaches and views of theology students were examined. Students' attitudes towards the course were applied to the students and the students' personal opinions were evaluated as qualitative data. In the study, 35 students participated who joined the History of Religions course at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Faculty of Theology. These students saw the shrines and sacred places of different religions with virtual reality glasses. The data were analyzed with the help of the SPSS 20.0 data analysis program. The difference between the pre and post-test scores obtained from the Religions History attitude scale was analyzed by Dependent Groups Test and a significant difference was determined. The faculty of Theology stated that students' interest in the lesson and their desire for learning increased with the application of virtual reality. In accordance with the subject and purpose of the History of Religions course, it was seen that virtual reality glasses are appropriate and it would be beneficial to use the positive results in the processing of other courses has similar content.
