Abstract:

While green spaces and parks, which are urban land use forms, meet the recreation needs of people, local political decisions affect the allocation of space, project design, areal size, and accessibility. The aim of the study is to examine the accessibility of active green areas in the city of Bursa in terms of political ecology. In order to examine the access levels of active green areas within walking distance (500 m), service networks were determined between the transportation networks and active green areas by using the Network Analyst tool in the ArcGIS 10.8 program. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there was access to active green areas in 29 neighborhoods (212.807 people), 89 quarters half neighborhoods (1.031.332 people), 83 partial neighborhoods (687.666 people), and 69 no-access neighborhoods (151.666 people). The information obtained showed that there are spatial differences in access to green areas in Bursa city.
