The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of teaching mathematics performed in cooperative groups with Computer-Supported Concept Maps (CSCM) on 7th graders’ conceptual learning of probability. Towards this aim, a computer-supported teaching material was developed and used in the process of teaching. Within the true experimental research method, pre- and post-test control group studies were conducted using 39 seventh-grade students-20 of whom were in the experimental group (computer-supported teaching) and 19 of whom were in the control group (traditional teaching). A 12-item instrument was implemented on the participants. After the teaching intervention, the same instrument was again administered to both groups as a post-test. In the light of the findings, it was concluded that the teaching carried out in the cooperative groups with CSCM was significantly more effective than that using the traditional methods in terms of conceptual learning.
