Bu çalışmanın amacı sınav kaygısı düzeyinin akademik başarı, motivasyon ve boş zaman yönelimine göre bir farklılık gösterip göstermediğinin incelenmesidir. Katılımcıların 307’si kadın (%68.2) 141’i erkek (%31.3) 2 öğrenci ise cinsiyetini belirtmemiştir. Öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını belirlemek genel akademik not ortalaması (GANO), sınav kaygılarını belirlemek için Westside Sınav Kaygısı Ölçeği boş zamanlarını nasıl değerlendirdiklerini belirlemek için Boş Zaman Yönetimi Ölçeği, akademik motivasyonlarını belirlemek için Akademik Motivasyon Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre düşük sınav kaygısı olan grubun akademik başarısının daha yüksek olduğu, bir başka ifade ile yüksek sınav kaygısı olan gurubun akademik başarısının daha düşük olduğu görülmüştür. Sınav kaygısı yüksek gurubun boş zaman yönetimi açısından program puanının daha yüksek olduğu, başka bir ifadeyle sınav kaygısı düşük grubun daha az program yaptığı diğer bir sonuçtur. Akademik motivasyon açısından ise, yüksek sınav kaygısı olan grubun kendini ispat puanını yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. İçsel motivasyonun hareket alt boyutunda ise yüksek sınav kaygısı olan grubun hareket puanının yüksek olduğu, yani sınav kaygısı yükseldikçe çalışmak için harekete geçme düzeyinin arttığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular literatür ışığında tartışılmıştır.
The aim of this study is to examine whether the level of test anxiety differs according to academic achievement, motivation and leisure orientation. Of the participants, 307 women (68.2%) 141 men (31.3%) 2 students did not specify their gender. The GPA was used to determine the academic achievement of the students, the Westside Test Anxiety Scale was used to determine their test anxiety, the Leisure Management Scale was used to determine how they used their spare time, and the Academic Motivation Scale was used to determine their academic motivations. According to the results of this study, it was seen that the academic success of the group with low test anxiety was higher, in other words, the academic success of the group with high test anxiety was lower. Another result is that the group with high test anxiety has a higher program score in terms of leisure time management, in other words, the group with low test anxiety does less programming. In terms of academic motivation, it was determined that the group with high test anxiety had a high self-proof score. In the movement sub-dimension of intrinsic motivation, it was concluded that the group with high test anxiety had a higher movement score, that is, the higher the test anxiety, the higher the level of action to study. The findings were discussed in the light of the literature.
