Abstract:

Chronic obstructive lung disease (KOAH) is a major cause of mortality and morbidity throughout the world and in our country. Both the direct and indirect costs are quite high.We also wanted to draw attention to the topic by making a direct cost analysis of the KOAH patients who were treated by bed in our 2nd floor health institution in a year period.Method: 1 January - 31 December 2011 in Erzincan State Hospital BreastIn the Clinic of Diseases, all patients under the diagnosis of KOAH acute inflammation were taken to study.The demographic data of patients, such as age, gender, bedtime, and the cost data of medication, antibiotics, bed vetoplam were studied. It was considered whether there was a relationship between age, gender, stage, annual deposit number and deposit time, such as variables and costs. 381 patients were included in the study. The average annual deposit rate of KOAH patients was 1.6/year, the average total deposit cost was 1100±618 TL. The age and the average deposit time (r=:0.125, p=0.004) and the costs (r=0.144, p=0.001) were poorly correlated. The value of FEV1, chronic respiratory failure, the significance between gender and costs has not been determined.The result: the cost of both direct and indirect KOAH is quite high. The majority of the costs are also paid by hospitals. Therefore, the prevention of the disease and the appropriate treatment in the early age can also be reduced due to the progression of the disease, and frequent hospitalizations can be reduced.
