This study was carried out to examine the social skills, aggression and sports ethics of university students who do sports at Harran University and those who do not. In addition, this research was carried out to determine whether the sport contributes positively to the moral potential of the individual and the athlete. The phenomenon of loneliness that comes with the modern age, various diseases, obesity, and an excessively aggressive attitude that come with the modern age in the society negatively affect individuals physically and mentally and reduce the overall quality of life. With this study, it is thought that by including individuals in active sports environment, the effects of physical and mental adversities brought by the modern age will be reduced and healthy social communities will be formed. This study was carried out with the questionnaire application, which is one of the descriptive research methods. The reliability levels of the scales of the study were found to be quite high. The data were analyzed using t-test, correlation and regression analysis methods. The universe of the study was composed of 300 students studying at Harran University. According to the findings, the levels of aggression and immorality of those who do sports, recreational sports, licensed sports, coach or referee were higher than those who did not do sports. BESYO's aggressive attitude and withdrawal from morality is higher than other faculties. As a result, a positive relationship was observed between the aggressive attitude of university students who do not do sports and the state of withdrawal from morality. In this case, it can be thought that students with aggressive attitudes will have negative moral orientations. It is observed that when the social skills of sportsmen increase, there is an increase in aggression attitude and distancing from morality. Accordingly, it can be said that doing sports alone cannot prevent aggression and immorality, and it is thought that the identity of the person in the social environment affects his aggression and moral attitude. The fact that there is no difference in social skills between students who do sports and those who do not are thought to be due to the fact that the study group consists of university students and the presence of social areas at the university, and finally, it was determined that university students who do sports have more aggressive attitudes than those who do not.
