Bu araştırmada, 1990’dan günümüze Türkiye’deki ilkokul matematik dersi öğretim programlarının Birleşmiş Milletler Çocuk Hakları Sözleşmesi (BMÇHS) eğitimin amaçları açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel bir araştırma olan çalışmada doküman analizi yönteminden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmada, 1990’dan 2018’e kadar ilkokul matematik dersi öğretim programlarına ilişkin yazılı dokümanlar içerik analizi yapılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları, BMÇHS’nin imzalandığı tarihten (1990’dan) 2018’e kadar tüm ilkokul matematik dersi öğretim programlarında BMÇHS eğitimin amaçları bağlamında değerlendirilebilecek çeşitli düzenlemelerin bulunduğunu ve bu düzenlemelerin tarihsel süreç içerinde farklılık gösterdiğini ortaya koymuştur. Ayrıca, BMÇHS eğitimin amaçları açısından en kapsamlı düzenlemelerin ise 2017 programında yapıldığı belirlenmiştir. Araştırma, BMÇHS eğitimin amaçlarının Türkiye’de ilkokul matematik dersi öğretim programlarına nasıl yansıdığını tarihsel bağlamda değerlendirme imkanı sağlaması açısından önem taşımaktadır.
This study aims to study the teaching programs of primary school mathematics in Turkey from 1990 to the present in terms of the objectives of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNICEF). It is a quality research that has been used by the method of document analysis. In the study, written documents related to the teaching programs of primary mathematics lessons from 1990 to 2018 were analyzed by making content analysis. The research results showed that from the date of signing of the UNHCR (from 1990) to 2018 all primary school math lessons teaching programs have various arrangements that can be evaluated in the context of the objectives of UNHCR education and that these arrangements differ within the historic process. In addition, the most comprehensive arrangements in terms of the objectives of the UNHCR education have been determined in the 2017 program. The research is of importance in terms of providing the possibility to evaluate in the historical context how the objectives of the BMCH education reflect in the teaching programmes of primary mathematics in Turkey.
This study aims to perform a historical analysis of the mathematics curricula documents at primary level from the perspective of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) with regard to the educational aims. The study was designed as a qualitative research and document analysis method was employed. In this regard, official mathematics curricula documents at elementary level issued from 1990 (the time when the UNCRC signed) to 2018 were analyzed via content analysis technique. The results showed that there were various arrangements that could be evaluated in the context of UNCRC educational aims in all primary school mathematics curricula documents and these arrangements changed throughout the history. In addition, it was determined that the most comprehensive arrangements were introduced in the 2017 program. The findings provide an opportunity to evaluate the incorporation of UNCRC educational aims into the composition of curricula documents in a historical context
