Abstract:

Internet technology has changed a lot and continues to change. One of the important circumstances in which Internet technology creates or affects is observed primarily in the sense of time and space. The Internet has led to radical changes in the understanding of time and space. Thanks to the Internet technology, the situation of continuity in time disappears, while the place is broken from historical, geographical meanings. The new communication system in which the past, the present and the future can be programmed in such a way that they interact with each other in the same message, ‘time’ is deleted and disappeared. Time is fixed. There is almost no reward for the time. The place is also fitted. It has made a radical change in the structure and functionality. The space is being rebuilt in image collages through the networks, the extremely fluid space perception that replaces the space that is specific to physical and fixed places. The flowing space and re-set time form the material foundations of a different and new culture that exceeds the diversity of chronologically transmitted presentations. This study aims to explore the process of perception and understanding of ‘time’ and ‘mekan’ from the past to the present and the meaning and nature of the state of being ‘real’ added to the two words in question from today.”
