Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul psikolojik danışmanı bulunmayan ilkokullarda görev yapan sınıf öğretmenlerinin rehberlik hizmetlerini nasıl yürüttüklerini, ne tür güçlüklerle karşılaştıklarını ve hangi durumlarda okul psikolojik danışmanının desteğine ihtiyaç duyduklarını ortaya koymaya çalışmaktır. Fenomenolojik durum çalışması deseninde yürütülen çalışma kapsamında okul psikolojik danışmanı bulunmayan üç devlet ilkokulunda görev yapan sekiz sınıf öğretmeni ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Yapılan içerik analizi neticesinde, sınıf öğretmenlerinin görev ve sorumluluklarının önemli ölçüde farkında oldukları, ancak bu görev ve sorumlulukları yerine getirmede güçlük yaşadıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca görev ve sorumluluklarını yerine getirme hususunda lisans eğitimini uygulama eksikliği açısından yetersiz bulmuşlardır. Hem hizmet öncesi süreçteki lisans eğitimi hem de hizmet içi eğitimlerdeki uygulamaya dayanmayan eğitimlerin sınıf öğretmenlerinin rehberlik hizmetlerini yürütmedeki aksaklıkların temelini oluşturduğu sonucu araştırmanın en önemli sonuçlarından biri olmuştur. Bu sonuca bağlı olarak bu eğitim hizmetlerinin uygulamalı bir yapıya dönüşmesinin gerekliliği ise en önemli önerilerden biri olarak ortaya çıkmıştır.
The purpose of this research is to try to reveal how classroom teachers working in primary schools where there is no school counselor carry out guidance and psychological counseling (PCG) services, what kind of difficulties they encounter and in what situations they need the support of school counselors. In the research organized as a case study, semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight classroom teachers. As a result of the content analyzes, it was concluded that classroom teachers are aware of their duties and responsibilities. One of the most important results of the research was the conclusion that both the undergraduate education in the pre-service process and the trainings that are not based on the practice in the in-service training form the basis of the failures of the classroom teachers in performing the PCG services. Depending on this result, the necessity of transforming these educational services into a practical structure emerged as one of the most important suggestions.
