Abstract:

India, one of the three major peninsula in South Asia, has an important place in terms of language, religion and culture. In addition to these values, the properties of the scientific documents in the geography concerned which have a very rooted history are subject to discussion. In ancient India, history printing is not considerable, especially by the scientists in our country, because it is a verbal source. The first verbal history data in India. It begins with the Veda, which goes to the 12th century, and continues with Buddhist and Cainist works, Puranias, King's Shetty, Books and Coins. Though these texts contain more religious and philosophical thoughts, it is quite difficult to solve the details and chronologies of the historical events mentioned in these sources, although they provide information about the way of life, traditions and habits of the era in which it was revealed. Therefore, it is impossible to compare Indian history printing with sources belonging to nations such as China, Byzantine, Greek Asur, Babylon, Sumer. But because history is not only a matter of political events, but also of cultural and social life, no one can deny the importance of ancient Indian documents. This is why, especially the ancient Indian texts are quite rich in this subject. In this study, the history of the Indians, among the world’s oldest societies with history, will be discussed from the ancient periods, the parts related to Turkish history will be emphasized and evaluated. In the result section will also be discussed the contribution of the Indian vesikala¬r to the Turkish history.
