In this study, contact toxicities of methanol extractes obtained from yellow cantaron (Hypericum perforatum L.), kimion (Cuminum cyminum L.), anason (Pimpinella anisum L.) and origanum onites L.) were studied in adults in Callosobruchus maculatus (F.) (Col.: Bruchidae). The tests were carried out in laboratory conditions at 30 °C temperature, 55 ± 5 % relative moisture and dark environment. In contact toxicity tests, C. maculatus extract doses of 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 (w/w) were given to adults. The highest mortality rate of 98.21% was determined in the dose of 16% of kimion extract during the 48 hour application period. LC50 and LC90 values for plant extract were also identified in each of the 3 application periods. Death rates vary according to plant extracts.
