Okul Müdürlerinin Karşılaştığı Sorunlara Yönelik Görüşleri: Nitel Bir İnceleme

Abstract:

Araştırmanın amacı okul müdürlerinin karşılaştığı sorunlara yönelik görüşlerini belirlemektir. Bu çalışmada, nitel yöntem benimsenmiştir. Araştırma fenomenolojik desende bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını Ankara”da MEB”e bağlı okullarda görev yapan ortaokul okul müdürlerinden 12 kişi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veriler görüşme yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Görüşme formunda okul müdürlerinin yaşadığı problemlere yönelik 4 açık uçlu soru bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada analizler içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre okul müdürlerinin yaşadığı sorunlar beş farklı tema üzerinde odaklanmaktadır: velilerin beklentilerinin çeşitliliği, iletişim kopukluğu, veli tutumları, disiplin sorunları, rekabet ve karşılaştırma. Öğretmenlerle yaşanan sorunlar ise beş farklı tema üzerinde odaklanmaktadır: iletişim ve işbirliği, öğretim ve programlar, değerlendirme ve performans, iş yükü ve zaman yönetimi, öğretmen gelişimi ve desteklemesi. Öğrencilerle yaşanan sorunlar ise beş farklı tema üzerinde odaklanmaktadır: disiplin ve davranış sorunları, akademik performans ve motivasyon, öğrenci rehberlik ve psikososyal destek, öğrenci çatışmaları ve zorbalık, öğrenci katılımı ve öğrenci liderliği. Çözüm önerileri ise etkili iletişim ve işbirliği, eğitim politikalarının ve disiplin kurallarının gözden geçirilmesi, öğretmen ve personel gelişimi ve desteklenmesi, öğrenci katılımının ve öğrenci merkezli yaklaşımın güçlendirilmesi, ailelerin ve toplumun okula dahil edilmesi ve desteklenmesi olarak özetlenebilir.

Opinions on the problems faced by the school managers: A Qualitative Review

Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to identify the views of school managers on the problems they face. In this study, the method has been adopted. The research is a phenomenological study. The research participants are made up of 12 people from the high school directors who work in schools associated with "MEB" in Ankara. The data was obtained through the interview. In the interview form, there are four open end questions on the problems of the school directors. In this study, the analyses were analyzed by content analysis. According to the results of the study, the problems faced by school managers are focused on five different topics: the diversity of the expectations of the nurse, the gap in communication, the attitudes of the nurse, the disciplinary problems, competition and comparison. The problems with teachers are focused on five different topics: communication and cooperation, teaching and programs, evaluation and performance, workload and time management, teacher development and support. The problems with students are focused on five different topics: discipline and behavioral problems, academic performance and motivation, student guidance and psychosocial support, student conflicts and harassment, student involvement and student leadership. Solutions proposals can be summarized as effective communication and cooperation, review of educational policies and disciplinary rules, development and support of teachers and staff, strengthening student participation and student-centered approach, inclusion and support of families and society in school.

The aim of the study is to determine the views of school principals on the problems they face. In this study, qualitative method was adopted. The research is a phenomenological research design. The participants of the study consisted of 12 secondary school principals working in schools affiliated to MoNE in Ankara. The data were obtained through interviews. The interview form included 4 open-ended questions about the problems experienced by school principals. In this study, the analysis was analyzed by content analysis. According to the results obtained from the research, the problems experienced by school principals focus on five different themes: diversity of parents' expectations, communication breakdown, parent attitudes, discipline problems, competition and comparison. The problems experienced by teachers focus on five different themes: communication and collaboration, teaching and programs, evaluation and performance, workload and time management, teacher development and support. Problems with students focus on five different themes: discipline and behavior problems, academic performance and motivation, student guidance and psychosocial support, student conflicts and bullying, student engagement and student leadership. Suggestions for solutions can be summarized as effective communication and collaboration, reviewing educational policies and disciplinary rules, teacher and staff development and support, strengthening student participation and student-centered approach, and involving and supporting families and community in school.
