Davranış temelli ve doğası gereği toplumların inanç tasavvurunu somutlaştıran ritüeller, içerisinde barındırdıkları geleneksel ve anlamsal bilgiyi özellikle sözlü kültür ortamından beslenen toplumsal bellek vasıtasıyla sürdürülebilir kılmakta ve ritüel bilgi, bir iletişim aracına dönüşmektedir. Toplumsal belleğin dışavurum ve aktarım bağlamlarından olan geleneksel pratik ve uygulamalar, ritüel bilginin aktarıldığı, yaşatıldığı ve yeniden canlandırıldığı ortamlardır. Geçmişten günümüze nitelik ve nicelik bakımından farklı formlarda gerçekleştirilen nezir-çirağ ritüeli, Uygur Türkleri arasında gerçekleştirilen geleneksel dinî bir uygulama mahiyetindedir. Uygur Türkleri yaratıcıya adadıkları kanlı ya da kansız kurbanlar vasıtasıyla ağaç, atalar, su, ateş ve ocak gibi İslamiyet öncesi kült ve uygulamaların yanı sıra abdest almak, Kur’an okumak ve namaz kılmak gibi İslami pratikleri de aynı ritüelde kaynaştırmakta ve bu ritüel çerçevesinde belirli yasak ve kaçınmalara riayet etmektedir. Çalışmadaki başat amaç, nezir-çirağ kavramından hareketle Uygur Türkleri arasında önemli bir yere sahip olan nezir-çirağ ritüelinin mahiyeti, kapsamı, zaman, mekân ve icra özelliklerinin tespit edilmesi ve söz konusu ritüelin sosyo-kültürel işlevlerinin analiz edilmesidir. Bu bağlamda nezir-çirağ ritüelleri toplumsal kategoriden bireysel kategoriye doğru icra özelliklerine göre değerlendirilmeye tabi tutulmuş ve söz konusu ritüellerdeki yasak ve kaçınmalar ayrıca incelenmiştir. İncelemede Uygur Türklerinde icra edilen nezir-çirağ ritüeli toplumsal işlevsel yöntemle ortaya konulmuştur. Makaleye konu olan ritüeller ve çeşitlilikleri literatür taramasından elde edilen bilgilerden hareketle tespit edilmiştir.
Rituals, being behaviour-based, and that embody, by nature, belief imaginations of societies; make traditional and semantic knowledge sustainable, within which they contain, through social/collective memory, fed on oral culture environment in particular, and ritual knowledge turns into a means of communication. Traditional practices and implementations, one of contexts for manifestation and transfer of social memory, are environments where ritual knowledge is transfered, maintained and reanimated. ‘‘Nezir chirag’’ rituals, conducted in different forms qualitatively and quantitatively from the past to present day, have the nature of a traditional religious practice that is performed among Uyghur Turks. They integrate (seethe), on the same ritual, pre-islamic cults and practices such as tree, ancestors, water, fire and hearth through bloody and bloodless sacrifices which consecrate to the creator as well as Islamic practices such as performing an ablution, reciting the quran and performing the salaat and within the scope of this ritual, they abide by certain prohibitions and avoidances. In the study, the leading purpose is to determine nature, scope and features of time, space and implementation/performance of nezir chirag rituals, based on the concept nezir chirag and to analyze socio-cultural functions of the said rituals. In this context, nezir chirag rituals were subjected to an evaluation according to the right implementation/performance features from social category to individual one, and prohibitions and avoidances on the said rituals were further examined. In the study, nezir chirag ritual, performed in Uyhgur Turks, was presented by social-functional method. Rituals and their variations, being subject of the article, were determined based on knowledge which were obtained from literature review.
