Abstract:

The concept of local government is the representative name of the institution which has existed since the Ottoman Empire and aims to provide services to the public. Local governments are aiming to work to ensure the prosperity of citizens in a far-reaching manner. Their employment and social integration studies are aimed at this aim. Actually employment-focused works  are called  social service applications. These applications are implemented in projects such as vocational training courses and employment of disability in local administrations. Within the scope of the study, it was aimed to reveal the role of local administrations in social municipalities and to determine what kind of employment oriented social service applications are made to citizens within the scope of social municipalities.  For this purpose, a related literature search was conducted and the resources reached were presented in a regular order. With this work, the municipalities have reached employment-oriented social work practices for disadvantaged people in society such as disabled, elderly, and women. However, employment-focused social work practices for disadvantaged groups such as convicted individuals struggling to cope with collective re-enactment have been limited.
