Abstract:

The subject of our study is the Silahtar Mustafa Paşa Kervansarayı, located at the borders of Malatya or Battalgazi (Old Malatya-Aşağışehir). Although a significant commercial structure of yesterday carries the characteristics of today, it serves in different areas with the current order. Arms Mustafa Pasha Kervansarayı's construction goal was to meet the needs alongside the economic need during the stay. The Kervansaray was first studied by the French architect and art historian Albert Louis Gabriel. In 1932, he prepared a plan for the current state of the carvansar, and transmitted information about its characteristics. With the restoration of the following years, Kervansaray had the present appearance. Kervansaray; in addition to the purpose of the first construction, today meetings, opening, competitions, wedding ceremonies, photographs, presentations, competitions, programs and other social events are organized. The most important part of Kervansaray is the tourism potential that it offers to Malatya and Battalgazi. The article also contained information about Kervansaray and the building weapon Mustafa Pasha. Some examples of the events in Kervansaray were also transmitted to the press. Even if they do not have the opportunity to work in accordance with the historical works, the idea of living them is going to change. Depending on the location of the Kervansaray, different functionalities can be charged. Kervansaray, with its new functional characteristic, has been saved from disappearance by living with tourism and other events. The course activities in the workshops in Kervansaray also appear to have gained a historic training place. Arms Mustafa Pasha Kervansarayı, bringing history and society together, serves people again as his previous function.
