Sovyetler Birliği’nin çöküşüne müteakip Çin’in Orta Asya bölgesindeki etkisi ve hareket alanı da artmıştır. Çin’in bölgeyle ekonomik, politik, kültürel ve güvenlik gibi birçok alanda işbirliği söz konusudur. Diğer taraftan her ne kadar ekonomik yönden ilişkiler, bölge ülkelerince takdir edilse de Çin’in gerçek ajandası hakkında bölge halkının ve hükümetlerinin endişeleri sürmektedir. Çin’e bu şüpheci bakışı tersine çevirmek isteyen Çin yönetimi ise yumuşak güç kullanarak yeni bir imaj yaratmak istemiştir. Bu makale Çin’in yumuşak güç konseptine ve onun Orta Asya bölgesine yönelik geliştirmiş olduğu yumuşak güç politikalarına değinmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, China’s influence and area of movement in the Central Asia region also increased. China cooperates with the region in many areas, such as economic, political, cultural and security. On the other hand, although economic relations are appreciated by the region countries, the concerns of the people and governments of the region about the real agenda of China continue. The Chinese government, who wanted to reverse this doubtful view of China, wanted to create a new image using soft power. This article aims to refer to China’s concept of soft power and its soft power policies toward the region of Central Asia.
