Abstract:

With rapidly developing technology, increasing competition conditions and globalized economic conditions, companies are trying to reduce their costs to maintain their assets, produce quality products and services and improve their product variety to increase their market shares. The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, one of the management information systems products that appear parallel to technological developments, provides companies with significant advantages in achieving these conditions. ERP is considered a management information system developed in order to guide the work of companies towards the future, while on the other hand it can also be defined as a software system that integrates all business processes. Successful ERP applications provide companies with many benefits, such as low cost, better customer service and production calendar. The aim of this study is to examine the applicability of Corporate Resource Planning in the Artvin and Trabzon Forest District Directorate, the challenges faced in the implementation phase in the enterprises and the reasons for which the enterprises are forced to Corporate Resource Planning and to determine whether there are differences in the two Forest District Directorate. In the framework of the study, the forest area directors in the forest area directions, the forest area directors assistants, the branch directors determining the demographic characteristics of the enterprises to the corporate resource planning, the survey work was implemented to reveal the statements that lead to the corporate resource planning. The findings revealed in this study are important to measure the availability of corporate resource planning software in the forest area departments, to identify the problems encountered in the use stage and to explain the reasons why use corporate resource planning.
