Abstract:

Through various thinkers, it is possible to think of politics in a framework that will make it possible to overcome the relations of domination or be functional in this regard. In fact, the main motivation of this article arises from the idea that politics can be reinterpreted in a transformative way and even needs to be reinterpreted. Although there are many differences, the common point of all the efforts of the thinkers to be discussed in the article is the nature of politics as constitutive, transformative and antagonistic. Reflecting on this intellectual intersection will itself be a radical challenge to the consensus understanding that announces the end of history/ideologies. In this context, the article first elaborates on the meaning of society/whole through Badiou, Rancière, and Laclau, and then discusses politics as an antagonism, objection, and a means of bringing the "other" into the realm of freedom-equality. Therefore, throughout the text, in the light of the thoughts of Rancière, Badiou and Laclau, politics is discussed as a rebellion, an egalitarian constitutive power and antagonism about the common. This inquiry will show that at the end of the day, politics can acquire a transformative meaning by centering those who stand on the margins/periphery and whose voices are not heard.
